TDI Fraud Investigation Overview from TDI website - Investigation that is SUPPOSED to happen

Agent Indicted in Annuity Fraud Scheme (single page - article at bottom of page) - Investigation that we had HOPED would happen (from TDI News Dec 2001-entire - article on page 3 - found on web)

Our experience in a nutshell:

No investigation at all. Told by TDI that they didn't investigate fraudulent DPOAs or embezzlement by non-TDI licensed people, only TDI licensed-insurance agents. As Danny Davila was dissolving annuity contracts (insuance products without an insurance agent license), does not concern TDI. So if you want to get away with fraud, do not get licensed by TDI.

TDI did give us the FINRA docs which FINRA had refused to give us, that contained Davila's denials with yet again no mention of "2004 Mystery DPOA" with "Danny Davila" on it, which is why Mutual of Omaha says they early release all of Maurine Hamilton's annuities, her life savings, $800,000. The "2004 Mystery DPOA" was never even recorded at the County Clerk's Office, where the original 1996 DPOA was recorded and never revoked, and required 2 doctor's certifications of incapacity before Sylvia Hamilton could take over as agent. The "2004 Mystery DPOA" removed this restriction, and was only used to embezzle the annuities from an 83 year old woman in a wheelchair.

TDI just said, go start a fraud lawsuit. So we tried that next.

In Sept 2014, we also went to a campaign event for Katrina Daniel, because her campaign literature said she worked at TDI and "Experience Counts". She was running for Austin City Council District 4. We discussed the problems we were having and gave her a 3-ring binder with Overview and other important documents from www.HowToStealAnAnnuity.com. She said she would discuss it with her co-workers and look at the website and then get back to us. She never got back to us and the website logs did not show any Austin visits. Nothing happened, as usual. Experience did not count. She was very nice though.
